Film Debut Kevin Spacey has a very impressive resume of film credits and today, is loved around the world. But, as for all well-known performers, he began his film career as a virtual unknown. Landing his first big-screen role along side Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson must have been almost more than he bargained for.
His next film is one of those "he was in that?" movies. He works in a limo opposite Melanie Griffith as a real sleazoid. |

Heartburn In 1986, Kevin landed a small but intense part as the subway thief in Heartburn. It is said that he was so nervous with having to wink at Meryl Streep that it took several takes and a lot of deep breaths for him to accomplish this. I like to believe that he aquired some of his best qualities with this tiny role. |
Working Girl This film was released in 1988. Kevin is Bob Speck, a wealthy businessman looking for the perfect assistant in Melanie Griffith. Unfortunatly, it wasn't the kind of assistance she was looking to provide. |
