Kevin plays a social studies teacher who gives an assignment to his junior high school class. "How would you go about making the world a better place to live?" Haley is a young student who decides on the act of "paying forward" favors.
The student puts his idea into motion by changing the life of his struggling single mother (Hunt) and unknowingly, the lives of people around the country. It becomes a national phenomenon.
