In 1988, this miniseries aired as a true story. In Atlanta in 1913, a 13-year-old girl is murdered in the clothing manufacturing plant where she works. The factory manager, a Jewish man named Leo Frank (Peter Gallagher), is convicted and sentenced to hang. Georgia Governor John Slaton (Jason Robards) suspects that Frank may have been railroaded by public desire for revenge. Kevin is a local psychiatrist who, after coming "out of the bottle", helps try to clear his name.
